teacher's pet

so earlier i ditched 5th and went to my history teacher's class cuz i didnt wanna watch 'meet the fockers' in spanish. she decided to set up for a movie using a projector. she was lecturing/introducing the movie and i didnt really belong there as a student, so i took it upon myself to act as a TA. i pulled down the projector screen, took down the vcr, closed the blinds, and set up the projector.

"no wonder you're the favorite.." "suck up.. =P"

i guess it was friendly and appropriate teasing, but for some reason, it caught me off guard. i did it out of common courtesy and logic cuz i knew my teacher was somewhat technologically challenged when it comes to setting up right there and then. [she didnt know how to hook up a dvd player to the tv..].

most of the stuff i do in that class, i do either for fun or out of respect. [just as some examples:] we used to dance waltz and had a swing session and i was teaching others cuz i liked it and thought dancing was fun. i volunteered to take down some of her posters for the human rights activist club because no one bothered to stay back and help--not even the officers.

its not just in the class either. i do these little things everywhere.. prayer meetings, choir practices, maharlika stuff.. whateverz.

random acts of kindness is good, right? i dunno why i'm being over dramatic about being teased about 'sucking up' to the teacher. something's wrong with me.. haha.

anyway, the movie we watched, "beijing bicycles", which was [i think] in mandarin and was subtitled wasn't too shabby. i was laughing during some parts and i fet really bad during others. foreign movies are great. =)

it amazes me how so many people lie just to impress others or to get what they want..

k, this is long enough.
