geek status

so i'm trying to be more geeky. well, wrong word to use.. but i'm trying to get a head start on things before i get too lazy. to do so, i went to go get a book at barnes&nobles for my summer reading. i spend like 40 minutes looking for it on the shelves and even called people to make sure i had the right authors, and it turns out they didnt even have the book in stock! =/

i felt bad and i didnt wanna waste my dad's gas [since its getting all expensive again..] and so i decided to order a copy of the book i needed [Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip Dick] and hopefully it'll come in by next week. while doing that, i decided to pre-order Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. [ohh yes!! totally geek status right there.. haha! =D] then i thought of my mom and realized that since i was already there, i might as well get her a Nicholas Sparks novel that she hasnt read [cuz she's read all of mine.. she's where i get my 'hopeless-romantic-ness' from.. hah!]. well, actually, my dad bought it. but its a good thing cuz both she and i--but not at the same time--will read it, so his money wont be put to waste.

special thanks to my ate rose/ate crissy who brought some stem-cell research stuff that i read through and use for my debate tomorrow. =D

i gotta go get away from this angry, bitter, feeling. lets watch tv for a while, shall we?

[5 minutes later] haha! i just saw this commercial for McDonald's.. i've been inspired to get a little kiddie pool and tan in my backyard while gubbin on some Micky-D's. haha!
